Tilt Up and Tilt Down a Precast Concrete few times

For the effectiveness reasons of the fabrication method, transportation handling (by land and on barge) and installation method of a precast concrete unit such as Fender block precast concrete, sometimes we have to do several steps in handling a precast concrete few times, such as I did below.

It’s not easy to tilt up and tilt down the unsymmetrical fender block precast concrete with 35 Ton in weight, 4.6m height, 3.6m wide, 1m thick and 4.1m cantilever steel beams as shown in the figures below, but it is possible!. Tilting up or down the precast, required a temporary work device, called turning device. I am as Marine Engineer and lifting coordinator for this project responsible to design the turning device and preparing the lifting method and the lift plan to make sure this works done safely, and finally it’s worked safely!
